M+C Schiffer is family company in its fourth generation. In more than 125 years, we’ve become one of the world’s leading toothbrush manufacturers, thanks to experience, inventiveness and intelligent corporate decisions. Today, we see ourselves as a partner and system supplier to trade and industry. Our home base in Germany has a key role to play. It is where we research and develop all new products and technologies. It is also where we manufacture the most ambitious products on automated production lines.
Continuity and responsibility are part of our corporate culture. We have a sense of responsibility to our customers, the environment and our employees. In return, everyone has a shared responsibility for keeping our quality promise.
We also invest continuously in the development of new technologies for products and production processes, which is why we have one of the most state-of-the-art manufacturing plants in the sector. M+C Schiffer GmbH: This is the hub of all Schiffer Group activities.
Neustadt/Wied, near Cologne, is our headquarters, our biggest
and most state-of-the-art facility, and our development and QA center.
Stützengrün, Germany
Denta Bross GmbH: This production site in Saxony’s Erzgebirge, in a region
with a long tradition in the manufacture of toothbrushes and other brushes,
offers ‘Made in Germany’ quality.
Adnet, Austria
focuses on plastics processing. The facility offers
system solutions in plastic for the consumer goods and pharmaceutical industries,
and has approval for Class 1 medical devices.
Goa, India
Schiffer & Menezes India Private Ltd.: Our joint venture is the leading
manufacturer of quality toothbrushes in India. Here, we manufacture products for both the rapidly
growing local market as well as for worldwide export.
History
A tradition over generations
The Company is founded by Johann W. Schiffer.
Wilhelm Schiffer acquires control of the company.
Brothers Carl (see image) and Max Schiffer continue the business.
Küros Schiffer, graduate in business economics, due to join as a Managing Director.
Sustainability
A conscious approach to
the environment
Responsibility and continuity are basic values in our corporate philosophy. They also apply to our relationship with nature.
- The company has been certified to DIN EN ISO 14001 for many years and is a model in the region.
- Our Neustadt/Wied site has also been certified to DIN EN ISO 50001 since 2015. We thereby make an active contribution to the careful use of energy.
- We avoid environmentally hazardous agents and strive to minimize emissions.
- Already many years ago we developed an environmentally friendly toothbrush replacing mineral oil-based plastics with sustainable materials such as natural fibres or sawdust.
- For packaging we use FSC-certified materials and recycled paper.
- We consider the environmental impact of new production procedures and products in advance.
- We even assess suppliers on the basis of appropriate ecological criteria.
